iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max are state-of-the-art devices that once again take smartphone camera capabilities to the next level. But in addition to the wide lens camera and the primary camera that features significantly improved night photography capabilities, the newest iPhone has a ton of other exciting and noteworthy features. Here’s a quick look at some of them:
iPhone 11 Pro matte glass finish
Unlike its iPhone X and iPhone XS predecessors that featured glossy, almost mirror-like glass on the back of the phone, iPhone 11 Pro features matte frosted glass that comes in three standard colors (white, black and gold) and an exciting new forest green color. The camera and the Apple logo add glossy elements to the phone, giving it an elegant, luxurious appearance.
A new fast charger included in the box
If you’re just as tired as we are of the super-slow 5W chargers that Apple has been including with every iPhone for years, you will be thrilled to learn that the new iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max come with a fast 18W charger, which has the same adapter like the ones included with the iPad Pro.
iPhone 11 Pro Super Retina XDR display
Even though the pixel density and the resolution of the iPhone 11 Pro screen are the same as that of iPhones XS, it has a highly superior contrast ratio of 2 million:1 compared to 1 million:1 on iPhone XS. At the same time, the screen has increased maximum brightness level of 800 nits compared to 625 nits in the previous generation, which means you will be able to see your iPhone even better in bright sunlight. At the same time, the new Sper Retinal display is much more energy-efficient than its predecessor, which significantly improves battery life.
Apple iPhone 11 Pro battery life
Both iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max got major battery life bumps compared to their iPhone XS and XS Max predecessors. You can expect the phones’ battery life to last a whopping 5 hours more than the predecessor, with iPhone 11 Pro Max having a slightly longer battery life due to its size.
iPhone 11 Pro water resistance
All three iPhones released in 2019 have improved their water-resistance parameters compared to their predecessors. But for the Pro models, the increase is much more significant: iPhone XR was water-resistant at the maximum depth of 1 meter, but iPhone 11 is water-resistant at 2 meters for 30 minutes. However, iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are water-resistant at 4 meters for up to 30 minutes.
iPhone 11 Pro cameras
Another new iPhone feature that everyone is raving about is the three-camera array. While iPhone XS featured two cameras on the back of the phone: one regular camera and one with a 2x optical zoom that allows you to take zoomed-in pictures with the same quality as without the zoom, the newest flagship iPhone also has a third camera: a wide-angle lens that allows you to you capture a lot more of your surroundings in the same shot.
